专利说明:

In the above and also in all hitherto known systems, the display is located on the side of the handset facing the user. Likewise, the opening for receiving the nozzle, in which the driver gives his breath test, is arranged on this front of the handset. As a rule, the nozzle is above the display. starts a vehicle driver, in particular by operating an ignition key, the start-up process, then the alcohol measuring device, especially the hand-held device, switches on automatically. At the end of a heating phase of the alcohol measuring device, the vehicle driver is signaled on the display that the device is now ready to record and analyze a breath sample. Additional instructions in text form signal the vehicle driver if a sufficiently large volume of respiration has been emitted and the vehicle driver can thus stop exhaling. As the vehicle driver during this time in any case holds the mouthpiece in his mouth, the display is covered or at least a little very difficult to look at. For this reason, it often leads to incorrect operation, as the user cannot read the instructions given from the device, especially often the sample delivery ends prematurely, which leads to a non-evaluable test.
In order to circumvent the disadvantage of a covered display or to be able to completely refrain from a display, breathing alcohol measuring devices are known, which emit suitable acoustic signals. Of course, the sounds or sequences produced must be misinterpreted by the driver, so that safe use of the device can be achieved. If the background noise in the vehicle changes, for example by switching on the vehicle's ignition at the same time as the radio is switched on, the audio signals may not be perceived or at least not correctly correct. Even when using acoustic signals, it often leads to incorrect operations, so that the tests must be repeated several times, which significantly limits both the comfort and the acceptance of the corresponding alcohol measuring devices in motor vehicles.
Based on the known technical solutions as well as the previously described problem, the object of the invention is to provide a device for preventing the start or start-up of a vehicle by a drunk vehicle driver in such a way that the vehicle driver, when using the drug measuring device, in particular the handset, is reliable and faultless. information can be presented over a display. In this case, on the one hand, the integration of a display in the handset used should be as simple as possible and, on the other hand, it should be possible to use conventional marketed displays. 10 15 20 25 30 For the user of alcohol measuring devices according to the preamble, the implementation of corresponding breathing or saliva alcohol measurements shall be simplified and the occurrence of erroneous measurements and thus delays in starting a vehicle shall be reliably reduced or even avoided.
The stated problem is solved with a device according to claim 1 as well as with a method according to claim 12.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention appear from the subclaims and are explained in more detail in the following description, in part with reference to the figures.
The invention relates to a device for preventing the start or start-up of a vehicle by a due. drug use drunk vehicle driver. The device is provided with a hand-held device, which has a nozzle for delivering a breath and / or saliva sample, an analysis unit for determining the drug content of the delivered sample, at least one control unit, in which a signal can be generated depending on the determined drug content of the sample. , which can be transmitted to a control and / or switch unit inside or outside the handset for influencing at least one vehicle circuit as well as a display, over which the vehicle driver can be presented at least one information regarding a test execution and / or a test result can be presented. According to the invention, the device is designed in such a way that the nozzle is arranged on a front of the handset and the display facing the driver and the display on a rear side of the handset opposite the nozzle during the delivery of the breath and / or saliva sample and that the information can be presented at least partially on the display so that this in a rear-view mirror in plain text is readable by the driver in a rear-view mirror of the vehicle. In this context, it is explicitly pointed out that any form of information in the form of graphic presentations, for example figures, but also in text form. Of course, a combination of graphic image and text is also possible. In this context, it appears that the term "plain text" is to be understood as meaning that the vehicle driver in the rear-view mirror can read both image-like views and / or text presentations without limitation to any embodiment. The term "plain text" also means that the driver in the rearview mirror can easily determine both images and presentations in text form. For this reason, the display shows the corresponding images and / or texts in mirrored form.
A drunk driver in accordance with the invention is a person who due to their consumption of at least one drug and a drug preparation when driving a motor vehicle is affected when driving a motor vehicle due to. that altered effect of consciousness and perception 3 10 15 20 25 30 of at least one drug consumed is altered. In this context, drug in particular refers to alcohol, as for other drugs at that time it was still a method for determining their concentrations in respiration. To the extent that similar assay systems for the determination of other drugs, for which drugs, in particular drugs, cannabis products, opiates and other potent psychotropic substances and their preparations and their administration preparations, have been developed in respiration, it is mainly conceivable to combine such assay systems. with the solution according to the invention. This also happens when using saliva tests to detect a drug - especially alcohol consumption. To the extent that corresponding analysis techniques are available, these can be preferably combined with the solution according to the invention.
An essential object of the invention is that the display arranged on the handset is arranged on the side opposite a nozzle holder, so that the display is on the opposite opposite side of the handset facing the driver and the user, respectively, when he leads the nozzle to the mouth. Furthermore, a special operating mode is provided, in which at least one information is shown mirror-inverted on the display, so that the vehicle driver, especially when holding the nozzle for delivering the sample in his mouth, the information necessary for the test can be seen in the rearview mirror can be determined in plain text. . Preferably, the presentation of at least one information on the display alternates between a mirror image and a non-mirror image, so that depending on the test execution, especially the test steps to be performed, especially the current current implementation test steps, a switch between the two operating modes takes place in an appropriate manner. . The vehicle driver is thus in a position to, depending on the need, either be able to read the display directly or determine the information presented on the rearview mirror in clear text. This is preferably done depending on the present positioning of the handset, in particular depending on the direction of the display. In this way, it is possible for the user to read the required test steps in a mirror, especially a vehicle rear-view mirror, in a readable form, the interior rear-view mirror being particularly suitable, even during the period of time when he moves the handset with his mouthpiece to his mouth.
In the control unit, a signal is generated based on the determined drug content of the sample. Based on this signal, a vehicle circuit is alternately energized or de-energized. Preferably, the signal determined in the control unit of the handset is transmitted to a control unit arranged in the vehicle. According to a particular embodiment, unless the determined drug content of the sample, in particular the respiratory alcohol content, falls below a permissible limit value, a signal is transmitted to a control unit located inside the vehicle, which then ensures that the starter motor relay closes and the vehicle engine can be started. 4 10 15 20 25 30 For this purpose, the control unit preferably has a relay which, based on the signal from the control unit arranged in the hand-held device when the limit value is exceeded after operating the ignition key, allows a start of the starter motor relay and then closes the starter motor circuit. According to a special embodiment, the control unit has at least one further switching means, in particular a relay, over which, depending on the determined drug content in the sample, an additional vehicle circuit can be supplied with electrical energy. In this way, it is possible, for example, that in the event of a determined exceeding of the limit value, a vehicle horn, a vehicle lighting and / or a vehicle turn signal can be switched on.
It is also conceivable that the signal generated by the determined drug content in respiration or saliva, but also data, which contains information with respect to the determined drug content, is transmitted via a data port in the handset wirelessly or by wire to an external device, especially in the vehicle. port and from there on to a control, management and / or data processing unit. In this way, especially in the event of a limit value being exceeded, driver-specific data can be transmitted to a vehicle control unit or to an external data processing unit.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, based on the determined drug content of the breath or saliva sample, preferably when considering a corresponding signal and / or a corresponding data transmission, a starting device of the vehicle is deactivable, preferably by activating the vehicle immobilizer. In this way, it is possible to reliably prevent a vehicle-intoxicated driver from starting or starting a vehicle equipped with a corresponding measuring device. Corresponding intoxicating conditions, which can be detected with known measuring systems, are caused in particular by excessive alcohol consumption.
Preferably, a corresponding test is given by the vehicle driver both before starting a motor vehicle and also at certain time intervals while driving. In this way, it can be ensured that even a change of driver after an already completed start-up procedure can be detected. Advantageously, the drug measurement system is also equipped with a camera, which can optionally be arranged in the handset or in the area of the driver's compartment, in order to take pictures of the vehicle driver at certain time intervals and / or event-controlled and compare these with a previously busy or recording stored in a computer memory.
In a special embodiment of the invention, the display of the handset arranged in the drug measuring system has a specially activating switching mechanism, so that the display can be switched from a first operating position, in which at least one information is presented in clear text over the display, in a second operating position. at least one information is presented in reverse.
Preferably, a corresponding switching takes place depending on the test execution, in particular depending on the respective test steps to be performed and / or taking into account the position of the handset.
On a main scale, it is conceivable for this reason to arrange at least one sensor or a combination of sensors, in order to determine a direction, or positioning, a movement and / or an acceleration of the hand device. According to a special embodiment of the invention, it is conceivable that unless the hand apparatus of the drug measuring system is, for example, in a holder fixed in the vehicle or in the driver's hand in a position in which the display faces the driver, a normal presentation of information on the display takes place. In this operating mode, the information is thus not shown in mirror form, but is shown in clear text on the display.
For the vehicle driver, on the other hand, the handset with its mouthpiece to the mouth or already has the nozzle in the mouth, so that the handset display is on a side facing the vehicle driver, the presentation of at least one information over the display takes place in mirrored form. If the handset is now held by the vehicle driver in such a way that he can read the display in a mirror, especially an interior rearview mirror of the vehicle, he can read the information presented on the display in mirror form, for example a text and / or a graphic presentation, in clear text in the mirror , ie in non-mirrored form. The vehicle driver is thus considerably facilitated during the test, when even when he holds the nozzle in his mouth, over the display illustrated in the mirror, the test process and the respective necessary test steps, which he must perform, can be read.
The vehicle driver can thus be shown in a preferred manner a beginning for the delivery of the breath or saliva test as well as a conclusion. The driver is thus unequivocally taught that he can start with the delivery of the sample and also the time when sufficient breathing gas or saliva has been introduced into the nozzle for analysis of the drug content, especially the alcohol content. It is also conceivable to present additional commands, such as for example the command for inhaling breathing gas from the nozzle, especially in the so-called "Blow-Suck mode".
According to a special embodiment of the invention, the presentation takes place in a mirror-inverted form on the display, depending on the respective process step to be performed during the test execution. In this case, it is designed so that certain steps, such as the instruction “ready for Test,” are always read with the device in hand, while other steps require that the handset is at the user's lips and thus a mirrored presentation on the display should take place.
It is also conceivable to make the switching of the display from the first operating mode to the second operating mode dependent on special process steps in the test process. Such a result could be the beginning of the delivery of a sample, which is sensed by the flow measured at the handset or a saliva flow. Preferably, as a supplement, the end for dispensing the sample is detected and then the display is switched again to the operating mode with a normal presentation on the display.
According to a further special embodiment, it is also conceivable to use a camera arranged in the drug measuring system or in the vehicle compartment, in order to detect the direction and the position of the handset and to provide a corresponding switching of the operating position of the display depending on the determined position and / or orientation.
In this context, the handset and its position and orientation relative to the camera and / or to the mouth are preferably detected. Preferably, for this reason, special markings are arranged at the hand-held device, which can be detected by the camera with a connected or integrated evaluation unit. In particular, a technical solution stands out, in which the handset has at least one infrared LED, which is sensed by a camera with a connected or integrated evaluation unit.
In a further special embodiment of the invention, the nozzle of the handset is sensed with a suitable unit of camera and evaluation unit and as soon as the nozzle is covered by the handset, a switching of the presentation on the display is performed from a plain text presentation to a mirrored presentation.
Alternatively or as an addition, it is also conceivable to arrange a switching element in drug measuring systems, in particular at the hand device, by means of which the display can be switched from the first to the second operating position. Depending on the connection of the handset to the vehicle and a control unit present in the motor vehicle, it is generally conceivable that this data connection takes place over a wireless data line or a wireless connection, in particular a W-LAN, radio or Bluetooth connection.
In addition to a measuring device for preventing starting or starting of a vehicle by a drunk driver, the invention relates to a method for determining the drug content in a breath and / or saliva sample from a vehicle driver, in which a sample from the vehicle driver is passed through a nozzle of an analysis unit for determining the drug content of the delivered sample and depending on the determined sample content a signal is generated by a control unit and transmitted to a switching and / or control unit, so that at least one vehicle circuit is affected. In this case, at least occasionally during a test performance, the vehicle driver is presented with at least some information regarding the test performance and / or a test result by means of a display. The method practiced according to the invention is characterized in that the information is presented at least occasionally during the execution of the test in such a way that it can be read in clear text on a rear-view mirror in the vehicle driver's vehicle. In the preferred case, it is conceivable in this case that the information presented above the display, which can be perceived in clear text in the mirror, contains information regarding the test execution, in particular individual method steps during the execution of a test. In this context, it is particularly conceivable for the driver to be given information on the time at which he will start giving the test and when he can finish it.
In the following, the invention is described in more detail without limitation of the general inventive idea by embodiments in connection with drawing figures. Here shows: Fig. 1 shows the front and back of a handset of a drug measuring system and Fig. 2 shows a schematic view of the use of a handset with a display for a drug measuring system built into a vehicle. Fig. 1 shows two views, namely a front view (Fig. 1a) and a rear view (Fig. 1b), the handset 1 of a drug measuring system, as it is used in motor vehicles. With the system described below, it is preferably possible to determine the alcohol concentration in a breath test from a vehicle driver and, depending on the measurement results, prevent a start of the vehicle.
The hand-held device 1 has on its front side shown in Fig. 1a a nozzle 2, which is detachably attached to a nozzle holder (not shown) of the hand-held device and through which the vehicle driver gives a breath test before starting the vehicle, which is then examined in the analysis unit for its alcohol content. The nozzle 2 detachably attached to the nozzle holder is usually used only for one run and is therefore designed as a disposable article, in order to provide a hygienic operation of the system even with changing vehicle drivers.
The alcohol content of the breath test is determined by the analysis unit 3. The determined value is compared in a control 4 integrated in the handset 1 with a limit value or is sent via a data line 5 to an external control unit for carrying out the comparison. If the determined alcohol concentration is below a certain or particularly legally prescribed limit value, a corresponding signal is sent to a switching unit, which ensures that the vehicle's starter motor circuit is supplied with electrical energy. If a limit value is exceeded, no such signal is transmitted to the switching unit, so that a current setting of the starter motor circuit is eliminated and a start of the vehicle is not possible. As a switching unit, a relay of a control unit is used, which is arranged in the hand apparatus or in the vehicle, or in the starting unit of the vehicle, so that an immobilizer is switched on. It is also conceivable that the signal contains breath-specific data, which can be transmitted to a vehicle controller and / or an immobilizer.
In this way, it is reliably ensured that a vehicle driver, who through alcohol consumption, and also of Cannabis, opiates and / or medicines, is not drivable, that the vehicle equipped with the described measuring system can not be put into operation.
On the rear side of the handset 1 shown in Fig. 1, there is a display 6, over which the vehicle driver is presented with information regarding the operating mode as well as individual method steps during the test execution. After the vehicle driver has actuated the motor vehicle ignition key 9 10 15 20 25 30 is presented on the display 6 of the handset 1, which at this time is in a vehicle fixed holder, information that the measuring system is switched on and the analysis unit 3 is in a heating phase. As soon as the system is ready for a breath test, this is also shown to the vehicle driver in clear text on the display 6.
From now on, the driver can remove the handset 1 from the holder and bring it towards the mouth with the nozzle 2. If now the driver starts by giving a breath test, this is sensed by a flow sensor in the area of the breathing gas inlet and on the back of the driver the display arranged by the handset is switched from a first to a second operating mode. In this second operating mode, each presentation of information on the display takes place in the form of a mirror image. For the vehicle driver, it is now possible to position the handset 1 while holding the nozzle 2 in the mouth, so that the display 6 can be read in the interior rearview mirror.
Here can due. the mirror image on the display the necessary information is read in clear text, ie as a non-mirror image.
As soon as the driver has emitted sufficient breathing gas in the nozzle 2, this is shown to him via the display 6 and on the vehicle's interior mirror 7. In this case, the delivery of the breath test should not take place without error, for example when the driver stops blowing in the nozzle 2 or sucks at the nozzle. 2 at an impermissible time, this is also sensed by the control unit and a corresponding fault report is output over the display 6 and the rearview mirror 7. Even in this case, the vehicle driver can immediately be alerted to the fault operation in the interior rearview mirror 7 and even when holding the nozzle in the mouth and perform a corresponding correction.
The loss of time during the test as well as certain erroneous measurements are thus reliably avoided.
As soon as sufficient exhalation gas is blown into the nozzle 2, this is shown to the vehicle driver, who thereby removes the nozzle 2 from the mouth. The flow meter further senses to enter additional exhalation gas streams into the handset 1, so that now the display 6 is switched from the second to the first operating mode and the information on the display 6 is again output in clear text, i.e. non-mirror image. 10 10 15 20 25 30 For the vehicle driver, it is now again possible to read the display 6 in the normal way. At the end of the test, the vehicle driver inserts the hand-held device 1 into the holder arranged on the vehicle side, and unless a limit of alcoholic strength was established in the breath test, the vehicle can now be started immediately.
Fig. 2 is a schematic view of the hand apparatus 1 of a drug test system, in particular an alcohol measuring system, which is in use. In the case shown, the handset 1 is simply held in the hand of the driver and the nozzle 2 is located in the driver's mouth. After it has been sensed over a flow sensor that the vehicle driver has started giving a breath test, the display 6 is switched from a first to a second operating position, in which the presentation of information on the display 6 takes place in mirrored form, so that corresponding information can be seen in clear text on the inner rearview mirror.
The hand apparatus 1 shown in Fig. 2 of a drug or alcohol measuring system is connected via a data cable 5 to the starting unit of the vehicle. On the vehicle side, a control unit is arranged in this case, in which a relay is arranged, which as soon as it receives a control signal from the hand apparatus, enables a power supply of the vehicle's starter motor circuit. Before the delivery of a breath test and the execution of a breath gas analysis, the road unit is locked, so that the vehicle can not be used at this time. A communication between the control unit 4 integrated in the handset 1 and the control unit of the vehicle connected to the starting unit takes place via a signal port 8 of the motor vehicle, the cable 5 as well as a corresponding suitable signal port 9 on the side of the vehicle. Of course, it is also conceivable to use a wireless data transmission instead of wired, for example by means of WLAN or Bluetooth technology.
If the analysis of the breath test shows that the vehicle driver is not intoxicated, for example that the alcohol content is below a certain legal predetermined limit value, a signal is generated in the control unit 4 and transmitted over previously described signal path, whereupon a switching unit on the vehicle side is operated and the starter motor circuit can be supplied with electrical energy.
In the operating mode shown in Fig. 2, the presentation of information on the display 6 takes place in a mirror image.
As soon as the driver has positioned the handset in such a way that he sees the display 6 on the inner rearview mirror, it is possible for him to read the information presented on the display 6 in mirror form in plain text on the inner rearview mirror 7. In this way the vehicle driver can be presented information with with regard to the operating mode of the measuring system, in particular the hand-held device 1 and preferred information on the required method steps as well as errors in the execution of the test, while the vehicle driver holds the nozzle 2 of the hand-held device 1 in his mouth.
The technical solution according to the invention that on a device a display 6 on the rear side of a handset 1 of an alcohol measuring system opposite to the nozzle 2 as well as a corresponding switching of a presentation operating mode of the display ensures that a vehicle driver, even when holding the handset 1 nozzle 2, presents reliable information regarding the performance of the alcohol test. Improper use and thus incorrectly performed tests, which in themselves can lead to a delay in starting even by non-intoxicated vehicle drivers and thus perceived as uncomfortable, are thus minimized reliably or at least significantly. 12 10 List of reference numerals 1 Handheld device 2 Nozzle 3 Analysis unit 4 Control unit 5 Signal line 6 Display 7 Rearview mirror 8 Signal port on handset side 9 Signal port on vehicle side 13
